Sunflower
The Sun leads the fiery chariot to heaven.
He has two sisters, the moon goddess Selene and the dawn goddess Eos.
The sun is often depicted as a young nimbus a chariot, wearing a cloak and with a globe and a whip. The Roosters and the Eagles were associated with the Sun.
In the Odyssey, Odysseus and the surviving crew arrive on an island dedicated to the sun god. There were kept the sacred red cattle of Helios. Despite the warnings of Odysseus, his men were disrespectful and killed and ate a few. The guardians of the island, daughters of Helios, told to their father, and he destroyed their ship and all the men except Odysseus.
The plant sunflower follows the flow of the sun, symbolizing the sun itself, the transfer of warmth and happiness, adoration and longevity.
